Dr. Calvert
Hello, I am Dr. Calvert and I am pleased to welcome you to our office and our team in South Austin where we will provide you with a dental experience that is designed to exceed your expectations.
History
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where during my years in high school I developed a strong interest in science and graduated Salutatorian. At the age of 18 I came to Texas to begin my college education. I attended Lubbock Christian University. It is there that I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from 1977 to 1981.
Post Graduate Education
I attended dental school from 1981 to 1985 at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery-DDS. In my years in dental school, I became very interested in pursuing exceptional cosmetic dentistry, as well as what is the root cause of most adult dental problems. It was that desire that drove me to search out and attend The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, which focuses on TMJ disorders, bite disorders, and head and neck pain.
Austin Texas Dentistry
Ever since I arrived in Austin I knew this is where I would live and stay. The vitality and energy here goes well with my active lifestyle of outdoors and fitness. I enjoy such activities as snow skiing, scuba diving, backpacking, and pretty much anything outdoors. I am the father of four terrific children who continue to enhance my life even though they are grown.
